Sweet Potato Fries Ingredients
- 2 –3 large sweet potatoes peeled and cut into fries
- 2 –3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt or to taste
- ½ tsp black pepper
Optional Extras
- Chili powder for heat
- Fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme
- Parmesan or nutritional yeast for a cheesy vibe
- Dipping sauces: ketchup garlic aioli, or spicy mayo
Prep the Sweet Potatoes
Peel and cut the sweet potatoes into even fries. Toss them in a bowl with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Make sure each fry is coated — don’t skimp. This is flavor central.
Arrange for Maximum Crisp
Lay the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet. Crowding them = sad, soggy fries. Spread them out, give them space to breathe, and promise they’ll crisp up beautifully.
Serve & Revel
Remove from the oven, let them cool for a couple of minutes (if you can resist), and serve with your fave dipping sauce. Bite in, and yes — that first crunch is everything. “Whoa, I made this?! Yes girl, yes you did.”
-
Cut your fries evenly — uneven cuts = uneven cooking.
-
Don’t overcrowd the pan. Use two trays if needed.
-
Want extra crisp? Soak cut fries in cold water for 30 minutes, pat dry, then bake.
-
These are best fresh out of the oven — reheat in an air fryer or oven, never the microwave (trust me, soggy fries are heartbreaking).
