Ingredients

Pancake Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 ¼ cups milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tbsp melted unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Optional Toppings

  • Maple syrup classic
  • Fresh berries strawberries, blueberries, raspberries
  • Nut butter or chocolate spread
  • Whipped cream or yogurt
  • Powdered sugar for extra drama

Instructions

Mix the Dry Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Take a deep sniff — the sweetness is already whispering, “You’re about to make something amazing.”

Whisk the Wet Ingredients

  • In another bowl, combine milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and dreamy. I literally danced a little here because the smell of vanilla makes everything better.

Combine Them Gently

  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry. Stir until just combined. Don’t overmix — lumpy is good! Those little lumps give pancakes their tender, fluffy personality.

Heat and Grease the Pan

  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add a tiny pat of butter or a drizzle of oil. Once hot, it’s pancake time.

Cook the Pancakes

  • Pour about ¼ cup of batter per pancake onto the skillet. Cook until bubbles form on top, then flip carefully. Golden brown on both sides = success. Repeat until all batter is gone.

Serve and Celebrate

  • Stack your pancakes high, add your favorite toppings, and maybe drizzle some syrup with flair. Sit down, take a bite, and feel that “Whoa, I made this?! Yes girl, yes you did.” moment.

Notes

  • Don’t overmix the batter; a few lumps are perfect.
  • Use medium heat for the skillet to avoid burning and ensure even cooking.
  • Keep cooked pancakes warm in a 200°F (95°C) oven until ready to serve.
  • Customize with fruit, chocolate chips, nuts, or spices for fun variations.
  • Serve immediately with syrup, butter, whipped cream, or yogurt for maximum cozy vibes.
